The Black Horse in Lower Heswall:
30 November, 2016
Category: Pub
The Black Horse in Lower Heswall closed in the first week of November and remains closed. There are rumours of a dispute between pub owning company Punch Taverns and the licensee, but there is no definite information. The pub was featured in the 2017 Good Beer Guide and was taking locally brewed beer from Brimstage Brewery. Although Punch Taverns say they hope the pub will reopen soon, there is concern that any new tenant will not be allowed to stock a real ale of their choice and be forced to take only the brands supplied by the pub company.
